Looking at your pictures, the dolly the frame is mounted on: Is that the one that Hurricane uses in their shop or did you make it for your own use?

Mike has offered to let me borrow one for transporting my car and I am curious if it will break down for return to him. If it is a Hurricane unit, could you post a couple pictures of it?

Do you think it would dis-assemble and fit into the back of a Chevy Trailblazer?

Thanks

Paul

Thanks Phil, I'm sure I will be calling you and stopping by in the near future. What's your next step?

Paul,
It is the one that my car was delivered on from Hurricane.  I worked a deal with Mike Arps to keep it. It is a tremendous help already.  I can move the car around the garage at will when needed.

I don't think it comes apart but I will check at lunch today.  I believe it is small enough to fit in just about any truck or car with a big trunk or fold down seats.  I'll try to get a couple of pics posted also.

Went home and measures the dolly. 68" long, 33-1/2" wide at the back wheels, 25" wide at the front wheels and 20" tall.
Here are a few pics

Thanks for the pictures. It'll be a tight squeeze into my Trailblazer but I think it will fit. If not, the cheapest U Haul trailer will work, I won't need to take a full size trailer back to Lees Summit to return the dolly

Thanks for the help

Hi,
Nice wheels. They look great. I noticed you mentioned Vintage Wheel Works in another thread about wheels. This is the first time I've seen them. They sure are an attractive wheel and sounds like a reasonable price too.

Yeah, sure are nice!

Congrats!   Your car looks great.  I kind of wish I would have ordered the glove box, but I guess I can install it later on.  It looks like your already doing some preliminary bodywork prior to removing the body.

I received my car on Saturday #1072, Rich Lacy ( very nice gentelman)delivered it here to Lake Havasu City, AZ.  I can't wait to get going on the build.  My car is about the same as yours except I have two roll bars.

Anyway,  Best of Luck with your new "Baby".

The trouble with people is not that they don't know , but that they know so much that ain't so.

Thanks all.

Bill,
Congrats on your car as well [smiley=thumbsup.gif].  Now the fun begins.  Let's see some pics.....

I plan on doing some of the initial panel fitment before removing the body. THat way the body doesn't have to go on and come off multiple times.

I have to let the body sit in the sun for a while before I can start that. Meanwhile, I am sorting parts by the steps in the manual. It will make it much easier when I go to another step.
