Looks great. Did you use the ERA stripe layout? I prefer widening the stripe at the oil cooler opening as you have done.

Used the FFR one as suggested by Rich.

Hey,
I'm putting my car in a car show this Saturday at the UNF parking lot. North Florida Show Car Association.

Also,
Did you make it Daytona?

Hey Phil and thanks.

I'm planning on going to the show Saturday, hope to see you there.

I did not make it to Daytona, the painter got it back to me too late to finish everything I wanted to get done.  I won't "show" an uncompleted car, especially for the first time.

It's actually going back to the painter to wet sand one more time, another clear coat and buffing.  SHould be about another 2 weeks before I get it back again.

See ya tomorrow.

Dan, I was just sitting here checking out all your build pictures and am very impressed with all the inovative things you did on your car.   :D

My car is complete now,  but I plan to add the front sway bar and your setup looks pretty good and the fit is perfect.   ;)

Question:  Now that your beast is on the road, how does the sway bar work?...it must be very stiff going into turns.  I don't have one on mine now and it feels pretty tight so yours must really handle great.

Also, How's that 622 HP FE doing...it must be a "real neck twister"...too much fun!

I also love the paint scheme and color..real classy,
Thanks for all your pictures,  Best Regards, Bill    ;)
The trouble with people is not that they don't know , but that they know so much that ain't so.

danc30

Thanks for all the kind words, Bill.

I haven't driven it very much at all yet.  It is actually back at the painter to get more wet sanding, a couple more clear coats, and final buffing.  I still have to do the rest of the interior as well as the aluminum work in the nose cowl and some other small stuff.

I also need to get it aligned and then tuned on a dyno before I take it out on the public roadway.  Don't want to take any chances.

I'll post updates on the handling and neck twisting as soon as I start takin' it to the streets.

Thanks again,
Dan

Another great thread on a Hurricane build up.

danc30

Thanks for the compliments hwoods6617.

I just received a call from my body and paint guy. It's done. FINALLY. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

I am picking it up tomorrow at 12:30.  Yeah baby.

I will take some pictures out in the Florida sun when I get it back to the house and post them.  I can finally start the finish work on it this weekend. I can't wait.......  [smiley=happy.gif]

Finally got her back from paint. Next I tackled the oil cooler shroud and nose aluminum. Came out pretty sweet if you ask me.
