I looked into it but found that the position of the shifter is too far foward. I did not use the shifter in the kit. I used a straight shifter about 7" high with the back position on the tranny. Check out the build pics section #1077.

I cracked mine but it was from the sun viser screw going in too far. It made a 1 inch crack to start. After my first ride The crack traveled down to the bottom of the glass. Ron sent me new glass but now I have to figure out how to change it.

Hi
I am also waiting for 1077 to arrive. I bought an engine from Phoenix engine last year for another project. The motor was built well but I had trouble with the edelbrock carb that it came with. Once I put a Holley on, it ran great. However there so-called turn key motor comes as a long block that you finish off.

I just picked my motor up last weekend from Proformance in Ocean NJ. I went with a 351w 440HP roller motor. These guys were easy to deal with and build a great motor. They live run it, tune and take a video for you. The best part was when they were done they called me up to here it run. They offer a wide variety of motors and many upgrades. I went with a bigger cam aluminum heads, demon carb, March cerpentine belt system and PPG paint (No spray paint) that looks great and will last. Also this was the cleanest most organized shop I have ever seen.

Check them out on line or call and ask for steve.

Thanks Phil

Aslo maybe you could help.

I am trying to post my build pics for the first time. I attach the file but in the preview nothing shows up. Do I have to change the size of the pic, if so how?

Thanks

Looks great. What type of heat shield did you use? Where did you get it?

Looks great
Registered it in Florida? Do you have to have residence there? I have family down there also and that sound much easier than up here.

Block Plate?
If I remember right, I used the bell and the spacer ring to fit around the trans.
No block plate

No chatter but I have not driven that much yet.
No problems with the bell housing but I have a small leak on the slave where the line threads into the elbo (easy fix)
Travel is fine, I needed to adjust until it was right. Took alittle time but not to hard.
I am changing the sprin to a smaller one or none this week. The one I put on is to big.

The rims are Boyd Coddington, Model Junk Yard Dog
Fronts are 17 X 9 (I think? I could check if you need the exact)
Backs are 17 X 11
Both with a 4" back spacing

Bobby

A friend of mine recommended a local shop in my area that specializes in custom and classic cars (Roberto) did all the body work. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.
