I had some brake line adapters on hand that I got from Speedway a while back. Adapter is riveted to frame with stainless 3/16 rivets. Thanks

Looking very nice, Greg.

Did you or do you plan to weld that brake line tab or create a screw-on bracket?  Mine has that same issue. Hope Hurricane is fixing this issue for any future builders!

Jim

Seems this weekend was spent going back over things after discovering an issue with my fuel tank height. The trunk tub would not sit right for me at the rear end of the car. Turned out the tub was hitting the top back edge of the tank. Ended up taking the tank down and adding spacers to my studs to lower the tank and all is good now after reinstalling it.

While I worked on that, I noticed another issue that I didn't see before. My rear brake line going over the rear differential did not have the clearance it once did to the trunk tub, went unnoticed till today. Realized I lost clearance when setting the ride height close to where it should be a while back when I installed my driveshaft, this lowered the frame to axle reducing my clearance. Where it was 3-4" is now 1"  and will need to modify or re-do this brake line.

As some of you know, I will be using aluminum cobra style seats from Ultra-Shield race products. My plan is to side mount these seats on sliders and to fabricate the base plates to accomplish this. I actually found a base plate that is perfect for what I had in mind. Most race seat brackets have legs or something to match stock mounting points. The base plate I found is for a Porsche 911 by Planted that has no legs and adapts to three different width sliders. One of the slider patterns fits our seat tab dimensions exactly. This will allow me to use a 16" wide slider and side mounts for the 17" wide aluminum seat. Pics of base plates and side brackets below. My seats should be showing up after the first of the year. This setup is going to make it very simple and clears the hand brake handle. Base plates will be raised on 1/2" spacers.

Hey Greg. Do you have something on the seats your putting in? I'm not real impressed with the supplied.

Yes, those are the ones I have on order. Wait time is not that long for a single private order, 8 weeks for mine. 17-18 is warehouse like stock orders for dealers is what I was told.

My gauges were delivered today, took advantage of a 20% off black Friday deal that Speedhut had...Pic below was my inspiration for my dash theme. The same vinyl also arrived last week. If you go back to the first post of this build thread, you can see the preliminary layout for my dash. Indicator lights will be added above the steering column and 2 toggle switches and an indicator light added left of the steering column once done.

After taking off some time for travels and for the holidays, was able to spend a little time on car this past weekend. Removed the cockpit tub and trunk tub...again! After lowering my tank a couple weeks ago, I saw I needed to redo the rear brake line on the rear end. Got this done and now have the clearance I'm comfortable with. Trimmed the trunk tub where it meets meets the cockpit tub to fit better and some other minor things. Will be getting back to it more now to start wiring and getting the dash going.

Not much to show lately, my seats arrived today. These are the Ultra-Shield aluminum seat. Also added some Tech-flex braid to some cables that'll be visible in the engine bay last Sunday.

My battery tray came in this week for the lithium ion battery I'll be using, so I decided to get it mocked up and fitted to where I'll mount it for now. Added pic of battery.

I'll be watching how that battery works for you.  We have so little space in that trunk!!

Your build is looking fantastic!

Had to take advantage of the 70 degree weather and sunny conditions today and what a joy it was to work on it again.
Was able to mock up some cables, install fuse for cable on alternator cable, set the cockpit tub and upper frame section back on. Need to redo the heat shrink on a couple cables, just butted them up and need to overlap more. :-\
When I put my battery tray in I did not have my switch in place and it clears the battery. Next...will be prepping the dash for gauges, indicator lights and switches and switch panel. Found the perfect polished aluminum bezel for switch panel.
