Looks Good Phil!  Glad your priming and painting test are coming a long.  It's nice to see the panels/car all one color again :-)

Did you get a chance to shoot the body?  How did that come out?

BTW if you have any pinholes show up, my painter mentioned just taking a detail brush and dabbing some primer in those "Small" holes. Fills them nicey and sands down smooth. Easier than mixing and sanding filler/glaze.

Cheers,
Ryan Cassidy

Hey, thanks Ryan on the tip to fill small pinholes. I do have them..and like you said, I was gonna use Glazing Putty to fill them.

No, Didnt shoot the Body yet. Still have a little work to do there. I plan on shooting the Hood and the Trunk Lid tommorow evening...Temperature pending.

Hey Phil,
Looks like the hood came out pretty good. With a little practice you'll be a pro. Actually what you did, practicing on the old hood, is a good idea. Lets you get a feel for everything.

Here's another tip for pinholes I learned from an older gentleman that restores Vettes for a living. You will see most of the pinholes appear as your spraying your primer. On the first coat, if you see one, just rub it with your finger. It will fill the pinhole with primer. Yep, it will have a bit of a bad place in the primer but your gonna sand it anyway. I did this on the first coat and and didn't have a single one after that and never had to use the glazing putty.

Your doing a great job. I can't wait to see the end result. Its gonna look great.

The Car is in "Primer" 8-)

Other that a few pin holes here and there it looks pretty good.

Did the finger wipeing trick during primer as you suggested Mike...Worked well...I went ahead and wiped a little glazing putty here and there the make sure thing go well when I Block and Sand.

;DITS ONE COLOR ;D
