Haven't seen that color before, but it looks fantastic. Can't wait for sun shot. You sure are moving fast on your build. No grass growing under your feet!

Had to go out of town for a couple days so not a lot of progress. Got back this afternoon and cut and polished the bottom of car so I could get the pipes put back on. Killing me not able to put on wheels and get out in the sun! I got my VRaptor wheel well liners in so want to get those on and polish all remaining lower parts of the car before putting the wheels back on and rolling outside. Hopefully by Sunday!

side pipe heat shields supposed to be here tomorrow. The polished SS should spice it up a bit :)

Let us know how those wheel well liners work and fit. And are they the FFR style? Those look nice and really finish off the look. Beautiful job you are doing!!! Looking good.

Change of plans. I quickly determined that I'm going to have a ton of hours sanding an polishing this thing. Going to polish around the areas for the headlights, taillights and such so I can get it together. Needed to get the car outside so I can clear the underside of hood, trunk, and doors. Looks tremendous out in the sun! Whole different appearance. Pictures don't really do it justice. It absolutely glows on the highlights. Really happy with the color choice. I was pretty worried about it :(

Couple more. Was to large to post all at once.

Looks really amazing so far Bruce. Great job

got a little bit done tonight between power outages and hail storms :( Got the rear deck and front cowl sanded and polished so I could get the roll bar on and the windshield and wipers. Starting to look like a car again :) Wont take me much time to get the lights back on as I wired everything with weather-pack connectors early on. Thinking I should be able to take her on her maiden road voyage this weekend!. Cant wait!

spent the last couple nights polishing the rear so I could put the lights and such back on. Got that done and polished out the whole rear end tonight. Coming out real nice. Cant wait to get it in the sun tomorrow. Goal is to get the doors done and back on tomorrow and then finish up the front end Sunday. Pretty ambitious goal so we will see if I can get it done! Have a couple blemishes that I am scared to try and sand out in fear of going through the clear-coat, but you really have to look for them.  Had a boss once that used to give me crap for being so picky and said if they look that hard for defects they deserve to find what they are looking for". LOL,  Not sure I agree with that philosophy but I'm happy with having a couple little blemishes as opposed to sanding through the clear-coat and having to repaint panels. That's the difference between a $15,000 custom job and a $2500 DIY barn job :(

Haha you can sign me up for one of those barn jobs if they come out that good.

Well my worst fear came to pass. Dropped the door and took a chunk out of the corner :( I was contemplating bolting them on due to the odd shape and hard lo keep on a stand with the inside down due to that front wing. I figured I'd do the bottom flat part of the door on stand so I didn't have to do it bending down and then bolt on and finish the top. Bad choice :( Had to walk away and take a break for a day or so.

Beautiful polishing going on there....like a mirror  8)

So sorry you dropped that door!  Maybe you SHOULD have come over today after all?  I have been struggling with my door on the work stand also. I will be more careful now..

Enjoy your Easter

Ouch. Very sorry to see that. Hope it's not too bad to fix. Overall very impressive paint work though!!
