What a fun day and seeing the process of these kits and cars come together. I can't thank Alec enough for spending the whole day on Friday going over all sorts of things and answering my questions.
Some pics form my morning arrival...

A few pics of the Coyote powered

Other work in progress in the shop.

After lunch we went up to Lake City to see where the glass work, body and other parts are made. Body and cockpit just out of the mold in the past day or two.

Greg thank you for the frame pictures!! Had no idea they weld the number on. Nice touch. Do you know who's hood that is in the picture? It's like the Gumball Rally Cobra hood. Very cool. Hope some of those fiberglass parts are mine!!

Oh Greg BTW did you purchase HM-2028 while you were out there?

The gumball rally hood goes with the one just above it in primer, will be going to CA complete less power.
The laser cut frame tag is a new item, yours was the first. 2028 is spoken for, 2029 is a special project.
As of right now, 2030 will be the number assigned to mine.
One thing I forgot to mention, new fuel tank design is coming, will be similar to what Paul P. has done with his.

FFR428

Very cool info thanks!! I hope 2030 will have your name on it.

Hey Greg.  The car going to CA is mine.  Been waiting for it to go to the paint shop and after, final assembly less engine and tranny which I will complete once it gets here.  It's a great observation to notice the hood vents fashioned after the Gumball Rally Cobra, a movie I've watched a countless number of times, as a small detail.  Not too many without an eagle eye would notice. Paul Proefrock as well as Alec at HM have been so helpful to me on this build.

Are you doing a full on replica of the Gumball Rally car? Such a great movie. Don't forget your 70's Snooper radar detector! I snagged a NOS one on ebay for $30.
