That is going to be one nice looking car when its all done. I need to stop looking at pics and get mine painted, every time I look my color choice changes.   Dan #1011

Picking the color is the hardest part of the build. I changed my color just before starting paint. Good luck!

Wow!! Some how my cobra replica didn't turn out like the other builds......here is a pic of my new toy/project.

Sweet!  I'm guessing there's no FE lurking under the bonnet !  :)

No...it's a huge 1600cc VW engine! Good for 120 mph......over a cliff. I have to get my HM finished before I can start on this. Also, its currently in the garage...on my wife's side, so that won't last long.

Sam,
You didn't need another project yet. Need to get the Hurricane done so we can cruise together :D
Nice looking project though. I have a 52 MG TD roadster that someday I would love to finsh.

Dusty, true...but the opportunity was there so had to take it. I'm stuck until the weather warms up here so I can finish the paint on the Hurricane.

Ok, it's been a long time and a long story, but I won't trouble you with the details. The paint job was about 85% complete at the last post, but got stalled (that's the long story). The painter I've commissioned to finish the job picked the body, doors, etc up today so hopefully the paint will be completed in a couple of weeks and I can get on with the final assembly and finish it up.

Regards, Sam

Dusty

Sam,
I heard this and sorry to hear your problems. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Ok, its been awhile but I finally have the body paint finished. Long story re the delay, but won't go into it here. Here are a few pics. In case you can't tell for sure the color, it is silver with dark gray metallic stripes.

Sam, That is looking great! Glad you finally worked through the paint issues and looks like not far from finishing. Get on it and keep posting pictures of your progress.

Looks really nice! - Did you bury the strips or can you feel the edge?

I guess the painter buried them. You can't feel the edge.
