[smiley=smiley.gif] greetings to all the HMS owners and the hope-to-be's.  I'm still new to the replica arena and have much to learn.  Much has been learned already from the hms forum.  Hope to get over to the factory and get acquainted some time soon.  Kudo's to HMS and the forum!  Very helpful in deciding on HMS over FFR.  Hope to order one in the next couple of years if I don't win the lottery-HA! Gotta play to win.  See ya, DaveC.

 :) Hi DaveC,
I did research for over a year looking at all the manufactures of the kits. My final pick was HMS because of the completeness of the kit, Service from HMS, and quality of all the parts going into the car.
Anyway welcome and I will be glad to help with any questions. Mine is now road-worthy but I am going to wait until next spring to paint.

Hey MikeW., thanks for the input, I have been researching this new dream only since August of 2007.

Dave,

I  visited the Hurricane factory a couple weeks ago, and met with Mike.  He was driving a nice 427, and I got to crawl all over it, and even got a ride.  Had a blast.

Call and set up an appointment, and check it out.  I am still undecided on my kit choice as I am 6'6, but I am trying to figure out if the Hurricane will work.

 :) Dave,
Make an appt with Mike at HMS and tour the factory. He would be happy to show you around and give a ride in the factory car. I did this and it was what made my final choice.

Hey Dave,
I'm in the same boat but I have spoken with Mike from Hurricane and he really make the decision very easy. I hope to order my kit very soon. Let me know any important info you may come by also motor and tranny info.

Thanks,
Josh

Gentlemen,    seems I'm in the same boat only it's in St. Louis. Looked at various vendors, narrowed it down to FFR and Hurricane. Did some more analysis, read the various forums and if I were to order one today, it would be a Hurricane. Got the wife's OK, she's picked the color and says it has to have a wood grain dash. Now just have to wait until we can afford it. I do plan to start the engine build this spring and visit the factory.

See you're in Saint Louis. Looking for wood grain dash ideas, you need to see Mike DeGuiers car. Even though it is an FFR, he has done an excellent job of wood on the interior.

Sent you an email. I am in Manchester. My Hurricane is available for inspection if you wish
