got off the phone with mike today made the move after going to see another car done minus body and went for a ride
I guess I'm not a purist building up a 4.6 4v
4v mod motor with a carb hm 1075

I think the 4.6 is a great idea. It should be a monster with a supercharger on it.

I think when I am finally ready to build,  I will put in a 408 Stroker with IRS and  AOD. (I have bad knees and don't want to do a lot of shifting).

Great news, I'm sure you will enjoy the build as I have. Thanks for dropping by. After you left I went for the longest go cart ride yet.

Now every day you will wondering how much longer before you are riding around.

Now is the time to get your drive train all set to go and ready to drop in. It makes the build go much faster.

Good luck with your car!

Congratulations!!!! The toughest part is waiting for your car to arrive. The 4.6 sounds interesting, I can't wait to see your build.

Congrats!  :) I hope you post photos. I have been watching this forum recently and everytime someone joins the Hurricane family I have posted a congrats. I am not an owner yet but I hope to be one in the next year or two. Can't wait to post that HM 1XXX is ALL MINE!!

I wonder who has 1074?

Congrats on the purchase. Welcome to the family.

The waiting is "killing me". Should be 3-5 more weeks :( It is giving me time to get all my ducks in a row; tools, body buck, garage arranged, etc.  Lots of reading to do on the forum now that I'm an owner. You'll see.

Should be a good Christmas though. ;D ;D

Hey Doug,
You might want to check out CK Performance. I've heard a lot of good things about the AOD's he builds. I haven't used one of his AOD's but a 2004R (which is regarded as a light duty trans) he built for me was awesome. Had it behind a BB in a Chevelle and it would take anything I threw at it. Heres a link to his web site

Congratulations! If everything works out for me as I plan I may be posting a car number soon. I would like to run a 385 series (460) with a c6 and possibly power steering. Has anyone used this motor/trans combo that you know of yet? :)

FFR428

Congrats. I'm waiting my turn for number posting too!!! Waiting for delivery is the hard part.  ;D
I could not sleep back when I ordered my FFR. Then I got "the call" and was off to pickup the kit. Middle of January....wet...snowy... salty roads....open trailer.. yuc! This was before FFR offered a delivery service and you either picked up the kit yourself or they shipped it in a crate.  :D I'll have this one delivered for sure!!!!

Congrats again...

CONGRATS!!!!!!

The hard part is now...just waitng and wishing your car was on it's way.  I have #1072 orderd and think it might be ready in December sometime,  so Christmas will be the time I look for "Old Santa" to pull up here in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Your build sounds great and it's something a little different and very COOOOL!

Best Wishes for the holidays and best of luck with your car.
PS... all you can do is go on line to the Club Forum and chat and learn from all these guys.

The trouble with people is not that they don't know , but that they know so much that ain't so.
