Welcome Tom!
Any questions you have we can probably answer. Not sure if anybody's in NJ but Ryan would know.

Hi Tom,
Welcome. I think there is at least one Hurricane in NJ. Hopefully we can get you in touch with the owner. If you have any questions about the Hurricane kit you've come to the right place. We have a great group of guys here and should be able to answer any questions you may have.

Tom,
Welcome to the forum.  We do have a kit in NJ.  The owner is Chris Lombardo.  His user id on the forum is c_lombardo.  He is in the Pompton Plains area.  You can drop Chris an email or a PM.  Hope this helps.

Still trying to deside between FF & Hurricane.

Tom,

To be fair both have their advantages. However what really sets aside Hurricane is both the price and the service.  They don't go hand and hand very much anymore so it was refreshing when I purchased from Hurricane and saw their customer service first hand.  Not to mention the price.  You'd be hard pressed to get equal parts on the FFR for the same price as the Hurricane.

I've got HM1014 and really enjoy going to my parts shelves and pulling a brand new part off the shelf instead of thumbing through catalogs looking for the right part then waiting for it to arrive or even having to take an old part and "refresh" it.  I'd rather work on the car instead of work on the phone...  My real job gives me enough of those headaches LOL.   I also don't have the storage space for a donor car.

Cheers,
Ryan Cassidy

I think both are very well made. I've built an FFR and now doing my Hurricane. The things I like about Hurricane are the more accurate body, hood/trunk hinges, better fit and finish to the body, etc.
Customer service is also much better with Hurricane.
