Hi Phil,
Boy, that looks good. You've done a great job on it.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Body and paint is a huge part of the build and to tackle it by yourself is a major undertaking. You should be extremely proud of what you've accomplished. Not many will take on such a huge challenge. Well, you did, and you did it successfully. I compliment you on a job well done. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Guys,

Well, Ryan asked whats next???
I'm waiting on my Headers and Side Pipes to get back from being Ceramic Coated....Better be this Week >:(...
Bolt the Exhaust back up... Run the car in Go-cart stage a few laps around the sub-division to work out a final details like the brakes, etc...
Put the body on the car, mount all the Lights, widshield, etc... Then Carpet the Interior....

I got the kit May 6, 2006 and I should be done with it around the EXACT same time, May 2007. I took 2 months off from the Build in November and December for the Holiday's. So Technically, I have 10 Months in the entire Build.

Hi Phil, nice pictures. I am about at the same point you are now. I just got hm1080 .I had my tires mounted to the mags and will put them on so i can roll it into and out of my garage to work on it. I finished building my engine/trans combo and will mount my windshield to drill the holes ar per the manual. Then i will build the body support,(yours looks great by the way) and drop my engine and trans in the frame.Any tips on that windshield or the body support now that you have done it? Randy :)

He guys,
I started the Assembly Process. Everythings going really well. The planning, the fabrication, everything is falling into place. The car is just roughed into place. I need to line up the doors, the trunk, the hood....a little adjustment here and there, a little sheet metal here and there....and then "Carpet". I attempted the Carpet in the trunk..."NOPE"...gonna have that done professionally.

I went down to pick up the body buck from Phil today and let me tell you guys, this thing is sweet.   8-)

Feel proud Phil, you did it all yourself with the help of family and friends.  Did you see your son's eyes light up when you said it will be his one day?  :o

Thanks for letting me use the buck and congrats on a good build. I'm sure we'll be talking soon (when I get to the wiring stage for sure)

Thanks Dan,
My sons eyes may have Lit up but, I saw my insurance bill go to the moon. Remember the comment I made about him taking the Cobra to his Prom...he asked me later.."Why would I want to take the Cobra to my prom??...I want to go in a Limo"...He will learn, he's got a couple more years to realize the difference.

Also, I found the winning noise..Its my Alternator...I hope I'm not running into problems with that again. If so I may end up changing the one wire alternator.

Wow Phil, that looks fantastic! Those family projects are the best there is. My father and brother both help on my car, although sometimes it's like watching an episode of American Chopper with the yelling, screaming and swearing! ;D
It's all good though.

ITS LEGAL ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I got the car registered today. I was actually painless. Paid my Tax, Tag and Tiltle fees, had to fill out a minor affidavit that the vehicle was road worthy. Yes, they had me fill out the form that the vehicle was road worthy.
And, I got an antique tag.... 8-) 8-)
