Jim, your car is beautiful! Great attention to detail! Very clean engine bay and I love the AN lines for the hydraulics.
But now that you're finished, what are you going to do?  Oh I know . . . . come down here in two weeks and help me with mine. ;D

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I can only hope our weather improves so I can get some saddle time. We have had the coldest (and wet) spring in over 100 years.
Matt, I'm bringing my toothbrush and I'm not going home until our weather warms up or your car is finished. ;D That was my third set of master cylinder reservoirs. I tried the Wilwood ones but my wife said they looked like tupperware. I then made some Girling ones but decided I needed a little more "bling" so I polished a set of CNC's and got some braided line. See ya soon.

[size=12]Jim,

Stunning car -- it turned out absolutely beautiful!

jwd

Thanks Eric. July sounds great. Do you still have my home number? Come on out and we'll go burn up some $5 gal. gas.

Jim,

That's a beautiful car! Truly inspiring!  I'm right behind you with HM 1066.  I hope to have mine on the road July/August.

What kind of hose clamp is that on the master cylinders/reservoirs?

jwd

Thanks Dan. I used regular screw type hose clamps. The hose was such a tight fit on the M/C caps that all they really do is finish off the braided ends.

Jim - she's a beauty.  I really like the interior right down to the Hurricane mats.

Very, very nice.

Thanks Steve and John. I had a great time building the car. Now that I'm done, I'm kind of sad. I'm searching for a new project now. I'll drive the Cobra this summer, take it to a few shows and who knows, if I get a reasonable offer?????????

Form an orderly line gentlemen, and no pushing!

I had the pleasure of visiting Jim recently to see the car in person, and it's a real beauty.  The attention to detail is remarkable and the build quality is absolutely top notch.  This has to be one of the best Hurricane's yet built.  Jim was gracious enough to give me a ride, and all I can say is, "Wow!"  It rides like a dream, sounds fantastic, and pulls like a freight train.

Someone very lucky is going to end up owning this car when Jim's done with it!

Thanks Eric. I'm glad you enjoyed the ride. I'm not going to actively try to sell it. But if someone likes it and has more "dollars than sense", well, who knows.
What do you mean "when I'm done with it"?

Come on Eric... you know you want it!! ;D

I think you're right Larry. Eric, the next time you visit your mom, bring some cash.  ;D I just got back from a local cruise-in and may have found my next project. Time will tell. The Hurricane sure drew a crowd and got alot of praise, even from the other Cobra owners. Alot of people wanted to know more about Hurricane Motorsports. Maybe Jay could put together a brochure that we could download and print to give to interested parties.
