I have been wanting to post some pics for a while, never seems to be enough time, however ater seeing Phil's car I thought I would post a couple of 1039 as they seem to be quite similar.

The first go kart ride with 1039 went well with only 1 minor problem (gas vent rubber gasket leaks).

Here is another

Where did you get your alternator bracket from?

The alternator bracket I made with in my shop from some scrap aluminum I had, as was the clutch slave bracket, throttle bracket, dashboard etc.

Bob 1039

Yea the dash will stay polished, but we I am planning on some black leather trim to tie it in to the interior a little better.

LMH

Hey Bob,
Your sidepipes are a little different than mine. Are they the pipes that come with the kit?
Larry

Bob 1039

Different in what way??   The sidepipes were included with the kit yes.

LMH

On mine, the connection between the four pipes and the single going to the muffler is a little different than yours. Yours is smoother looking and a little better finished.

Larry,
It's kind of a long story but the guy that used to make the side pipes for years passed away last year.  The company we buy them from is now making them in house and the design is slightly different than before.  Hope this helps.
