Reptile Roundup 2009 - Hurricane Wins!

Well, the 2009 Reptile Roundup is over.  Friday was open track at Sebring with lots of Cobras, Corvettes, and track cars of all descriptions.  (No broken cars!)  Saturday, the Deep South Cobra Club held the get together at the Fantasy of Flight annual Roar n Soar.  We had over 30 Cobras attend as well as new cars being displayed by our sponsors.  Backdraft brought their new track cars as well as the latest GT40.  Attendees were allowed to vote on their favorite car and guess what?  Hurricane wins again!  #1043 was the People's Choice for the 2009 event.  The crystal trophy was awarded at the Saturday night banquet and even though I wasn't able to attend, they saved it and I picked it up at the Sunday morning Rally.  The rally was from the hotel in Lakeland through the hills of the citrus region of Florida and ending at Universal Studios for lunch at Emeril's.  Some cars were rumored to have hit triple digit speeds but luckily were not confirmed by radar.  In the parking garage at Universal, the line of Cobras and especially the GT40 set off car alarms as the rumbling shook the building.  Overall, it was a fun and safe weekend.
