Quote from: Paul Proefrock on February 17, 2026, 09:01:12 PMToday, we installed the latest version of the forum software. All appears to be running well although it might have a slighty different look.

If you notice somethingthat is amiss or not working properly, please let us know

This news is not as important as what Shane posted but felt you should be made aware of it.

Paul

Paul, you couldnt persuade Shane to convert to Xenforo?  ;)

This is the rear IRS we will be using.  Built by Mike McCluskey, these are the closest to the originals.  Mike based these off an original Cobra Salisbury diff. unit when he started building Shelby's "continuation" 427's in the '80's.  We may start machining the cases for Mike in the near future.

Awesome!!   Will it fit in the 2nd generation 427 Hurricanes?

Got it out yesterday on the road for the first time after 11 months, fired up right away on the first hit of the button, just wished the sun was out to show it's true colors.

What do you think of the Ultra Shield seats?   Im very unhappy with the Sube' Sport Hurricane-supplied seats we have.

Great update Shane!        The Texas Cobra Club is very active in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area.   There are at least 3 first generation Hurricane owners, and one 2nd generation owner (me!) in the DFW metromess.   Let us know how we can partner with Streetside Classics here in Texas for events and promotion.

Also, we hope you are planning on coming to the Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet this April!   www.texascobraclub.org

Any updates from the new owners on car sales or anything?

The new company is active on socials (Farcebook, IG) posting pics of 427 and 289 frames, bodies. and they are offering a Porsche speedster as well.

Gen 1 cars were from Lee's Summit, MO ... the first version with hanging brake/clutch pedals, ABS plastic fuel tanks.

Gen 2 cars were from Lake City, IA ... upgrades, improvements include floor mounted brake/clutch pedals, aluminum fuel tank, more original looking roll bars, few other upgrades I cant recall...

Indiana didnt build anything to my knowledge.

Can't wait to meet the new owners, and I hope they will consider coming to the 2025 Texas Cobra Club Spring Meet!
