General Information / Re: Bummer, how fast are these cars?
September 29, 2007, 07:51:17 PM
Hi all... New to the Hurricane Forums... I'd looked at FFR's pretty seriously for awhile, but after seeing the completeness of the HMS kit, I'm sold.
As far as this video... I find it hard to believe it's her car... she has a hard time just back out of the parking space... you'd think if it were hers, she'd at least have a little bit of experience with it.
Gorgeous car, Stupid, Stupid woman!! Really dumb on the owners part to let someone (Man or woman) who has no experience with a SERIOUSLY fast car drive it.

Build Pictures / Re: 1073 Build Pics

I'd suggest cleaning the rust off of the shifter and get it looking how you want it, then shoot it with a
clear coat of Krylon, or something along those lines... I did an Intake manifold on a BBC I had way back when... I glass beaded it, looked as good as new, then shot it with a few coats of clear. After that, anytime anything got on it, I could just wipe it off.

Finished Kit Pictures / Re: HM1050

Aside from the custom trunk, it should be doable.
The trunk is still full size, you can see the outline of it through the back window.
From what it looks like to me, when the top is off, you would have a full size trunk, with the lower half visible in the pic to open downward, and the top half opening up as normal. Pretty slick actually.
That top REALLY changes the look of the car and looks very 'Classy'...
Maybe the thing to do would be to find someone willing to make a 2-piece trunk lid and that style of top and sell them as a 'kit' together
