Paul,

I'm seriously looking at adding EPAS under the dash too - you're correct there's no room under the hood! Please Post if you do decide to add it under the dash. I would love to see how you attach it to the frame and how you clock it to be hidden - I agree I don't want to see it either. The reason I was on the forum yesterday was to see if anyone had pics with the dash removed to see if it looked like there is room. You're lucky in that you have the brake and clutch peddles coming from the floor - mine are old style and hang from under the dash.

Can you tell me what EPAS you have? I see they also have kits available for the EPAS to add the speed sensor so it will adjust the assist according to speed vs. the potentiometer.

Looks Great!

I wish I would have mounted my electronics the way you did - then I would have the room for this -

without needing to move anything.

Have you looked into these EPAS units? They sell them new too but the price to go used is about 10th of new.

I didn't mind the manual steering at first but I guess I'm getting old...

Thanks Ken. We have 3500 on it already. Hard to make the time to go... Someday my son will have to put the miles on it. He's 2 years from driving but more than that to drive this beast!

Looks really nice! - Did you bury the strips or can you feel the edge?

Thanks Sam

Choosing the color was tuff! My silver has some blue mixed in and so does the black on the stripes. Pics don't pick it up but in the right light it's pretty sool.

Post some pics after your paint - so we can see it!

Hi Everyone,

My wife suggested we go to the show this year and she even made hotel reservations at the Embassy Suites Columbus Airport - a few miles from where others are staying - but we wanted a two room suite for the kids. I'm going to try to borrow an enclosed trailer and make sure the date doesn't conflict with anything else. If all goes well it will be nice to meet those who can make it!

General Questions / Re: Final fit before registration and bodywork

It would be interesting to find out how many builders have chosen to delay the body work till last.....

Dugly

This is my first ground up build and from what I have found doing the body work first would have cost me allot of grief as I've had to modify many of the openings in the body after installing the drivetrain and making changes to the original layout.

my 2 cents.
