With the downfall of Hurricane, I have turned my sights on a Unique Motorcars 289FIA car.  I've seen several and must say, they are excellent and VERY period correct.

Quotey'all think to hard.
if Mr Fast took any part of that short sentence wrong then why in the heck are you saying what your saying?
if he may or may not have a problem with it at all.
it was just a short comment for his quick look into maybe stir interest to buy the HM Co.
now what have you been smoking?
i didn't even want to answer to this since 2fast4u wasn't complaining. nothing was said to harm him.
i hope you are all there when my nose is running ;D
have a good day moms'
ps maybe the eye popping character is what struck you wrong?
if i type here again it will be to your political structure :P
wow what a short comment can stir, really without saying too much anyway.
truly have fun heck i try.

I have no quarrel with your statements. I hope you understand why I wrote what I did about stimulus money.  It was meant to conjure up a possible salvation of the Hurricane assets with the hope that someone might save the company.  It wasn't meant to stir anyone up or poke fun at President Obama.  My intentions are sincere. Many people know of my builds, including a FFR BBF Cobra Roadster and an over-the-top RCR GT40 MK in Gulf trim. They perceived you were slamming me.  But I don't believe your were (at least I hope).

I hate to see kit car lovers get screwed by people like the ones who destroyed the Hurricane name.  They make a great car, very original, and from what I've seen, beautiful when finished. I know a lot of people who got screwed from the Roaring Forties GT40 debacle.  Many were out in excess of $35K.  Money like that doesn't come easy for most of us.  So when I see a company fold because of unscrupulous activities, I feel for the people who own the cars.

Well, enough said.  I hope everyone has a great day.

Cheers
Bill

A smart person or persons might be able to capitalize on BO's stimulus money and start up a company with the assets!  Possible??

So what becomes of the assets?  Do they auction them off? It would be great if a bunch of Cobra enthusiasts could form a LLP and re-start the company.  I think the Hurricane 427 was a great looking car.  Sorry, still is!! I was even considering building one in the future.

[size=14]Thanks Yerdugliness, radman and mrmustang
I like this forum and maybe....someday...I'll have a HM with a nice 427 FE.  The wife has already given her approval and the car will be mostly hers.  She wants a red one.

Thanks Dan.  Very, very difficult.  No manual, had to source a lot of parts...but it's in paint and almost done.

I may build another Cobra and I really like the Hurricane.  Of course, I'd fit it with a Genesis 427 SO with Webers!! ;)

General Information / New Member Here Saying Hello

[size=14]Hello everyone.  I just joined after looking at the website and lurking around the forum.  I must say, the Hurricane Cobra is a very nice looking car and you guys are most polite. I used to have a FFR Cobra with a 503 BBF.  Now I have a GT40 Mk1.  Some of you know me from the FFRCobra forum.  I hope I'm welcome here.

Cheers

Hey Ken
Nice job!!! You signed my GT40 guestbook so I had to see your build.  Looks like you are going to have a lot of fun tooling around Indonesia with a Cobra.  Car looks good.

Cheers

WOW!! Your car is stunning.  I'm liking the HM more and more each day.  I've already discussed this with my wife and she is in favor of me building one for her - red, no stripes.

Thanks for sharing
