GT40 Everywhere

Wanted to share a little of this extraordinary event with you all. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix has been holding events and races over the past week and weekend. This weekend was a 60th anniversary gathering for GT40s at the Pittsburgh Raceway Complex. My brother and I went on Saturday. What an absolutely epic day. We never dreamed of seeing so many GT40s in one place. Hillbank motors and Downforce were there with a half dozen each. In addition to that were multiple other personal GT40, 05 model year GTs and some 16 style GTs. Some with 427s, some with coyotes, some with aluminators. Not enough words to describe it.
There was also a continuation Cobra there COX6XXX.
They did charity rides where you could go for a ride in one of the GT40s for one lap around the track. I snagged an 05 model with upgrades, the driver said it was a little over 900HP. They weren't allowed to go very fast, but it was enough for me to somewhat feel how well those cars handle.
We talked with Doug Campbell of Superformance for a half hour or so about his MKII with the new Ecoboost engine in it. I think he said it's the only one with that setup right now. Great guy to talk to.
I posted some videos on my channel. Will get some pics up too.

That's pretty cool. I watched the Superformance YT vid on the GT40 they built for a customer. And another where someone walked the pit area with all the GT40's. Quite the show!! Glad you took a ride. Sounds like a blast.
