Completed the radiator mockup and mounted finger tight, drilled bracket holes in channels to fasten the radiator to frame. Fastened the fan and shroud also to the radiator. Overall I think it came out pretty good with the modifications. Lower outlet is horizontal, upper inlet is not quite, can probably correct with the right fittings.

Chipping away at things little by little. Nice attention to the little details.

Really nice stuff there Greg. Looking good.

Wasn't up for too much this weekend, but I took care of a few little things today. Wasn't happy with the air gap between my flywheel ring gear and pinion gear on my starter and had been putting it off for some time. Pulled the starter and installed a new mounting plate to give me a gap I was happy with and reinstalled.
Improved the fit of the top radiator bracket. Installed oil and 2 temp senders. Also installed the lines between the brake fluid reservoirs and masters. Still need to add an insulated clamp to fasten them to the tunnel transition. Now I am able to fill and bleed the brakes when I get to it.
Also started measuring, visualizing how and what I need for coolant hose and couplings. Will be using some silicone hose and metal tube and couplings. Coolant overflow tank and fill port ordered and on the way.

Spent a few hours today contemplating a few things and looking ahead as usual. Found a home for my fan controller from Dakota Digital.
I then worked on the cross shaft support for the throttle, Used 1" tall chrome spacers to elevate it to get shaft level and aligned with bracket on top of footbox.
Still need to locate and drill hole for throttle return springs. A few tweaks and alignment will be good.

The real wiring has begun...Roughed in wire, fuse and relay for radiator fan. Temp sensors, oil pressure and ignition wiring connected at engine and just draped over the dash for now. Waiting on some cable glands and loom I will use thru the fire wall for those. Finished the cross shaft for throttle with finish hardware.

Made some good progress on wiring today. Prewired the fan controller and fan relay, only lack the temp sender wires to it. Thought the unused 1" bar made a good retail display.
Readied some wires that will go to the rear trunk junction box. Switch panel cabling ran from the Switch Pro to the dash panel. Wires from switch pro ready to make up in junction block.

Was getting ahead of myself on a couple of things, so I worked on some trim pieces for the trunk in the front corners to seal the frame to tub. Saw I needed to install the inner fender liners, had to remove the radiator which made it much easier to get these pieces mounted. Both required minor trimming and radiator back in after. Got the engine loom completed for the most part in the engine bay and thru firewall to the dash area.

Greg K

More Wiring...Roughed in more wire, to the rear, and front. Loom to be added to it all. Preliminary dash wiring and close ups, This is about all the wiring that will be behind the dash.

Man I'm embarrassed after seeing what your doing with the wiring! Not my greatest skill set but getting better from one build to the next. But not even close to the likes of what your doing! Looks beautiful!

Greg K

Appreciate it, my design and layout is coming together and working well for me. Have made some minor changes, but it's a work in progress.
Forgot to mention in my last post that this past weekend marks one year since I received my kit. It has definitely gone by quick.

Greg K

Was able to finish up the wiring and loom to the front for the lights and radiator fan. Mocked up some parts for the upper cooling hose to radiator. Will need a 6" long tube to fill the gap and then trim the 90 at the T-stat housing 3/4 to 1 inch to lower the fill neck. I have a 1.75" 90 to start my lower from the water pump inlet and then I'll see what I think I might need to get routed to the lower rad outlet. Also, made up some trim pieces for both sides to seal up the trunk tub before I pull my main wire loom thru the lower grommet to the trunk area.

Greg I hope you dont have a problem with hood clearance once you get the body and hood on.  I'd wait and do the final mockup on that upper radiator hose.

I'm definitely paying attention to that. Stick is 1.25" wide, will be lowering that upper assembly approximately 3/4 to 1" and all should be below the upper frame.
