New Member Here Saying Hello
« on: July 20, 2007, 06:22:04 PM »
Hello everyone.  I just joined after looking at the website and lurking around the forum.  I must say, the Hurricane Cobra is a very nice looking car and you guys are most polite. I used to have a FFR Cobra with a 503 BBF.  Now I have a GT40 Mk1.  Some of you know me from the FFRCobra forum.  I hope I'm welcome here.

Cheers
Bill

Of course you're welcome. I spend time on the FFR and ClubCobra forums. They're a great source of info. for everyone. Things got a little pissy over on the FFR forum when comparing the two brands. I'd like to think we're a little more laid back over here.
If you were an owner, you'd have access to the owners forum where there are over 8500 quality posts on building our cars.

Thanks Dan.  Very, very difficult.  No manual, had to source a lot of parts...but it's in paint and almost done.

I may build another Cobra and I really like the Hurricane.  Of course, I'd fit it with a Genesis 427 SO with Webers!! ;)

I checked out your build site. DAMN. Everytime I see a pic. of a GT40 or Fort GT, I get dizzy cause the blood doesn't quite make it to my head  ;D. Those cars are soooooo awesome. I belong to the GT40 forum and drool all over my keyboard when I'm there. Maybe someday.

When I bought my engine block he guy who had it was trying to sell me a nearly-completed GT-40.  If I thought my wife wouldn't have KILLED me, I'd have snapped it up in a second.  Those are BEAUTIFUL cars!  Welcome!

Gotta love the GT-40.  My favorite car hands down.  The Cobra will be first though mainly due to cost.  I figure when the kids are self-sufficinet in 20-years or so that I'll be able to build a GT-40.  Love your car though.
Still dreaming....
Hoping to order in 2010

I like this forum and maybe....someday...I'll have a HM with a nice 427 FE.  The wife has already given her approval and the car will be mostly hers.  She wants a red one.

Cheers

Welcome Bill!  You are my hero!  Your GT40 build blows my socks off.  I second the comment on those wild rear tires.  Also, love the fact that you went ahead with the cool paint scheme and the mods to the body to make it more correct.  Bravo
