Question about the option to have the frame coated with POR-15.

It it worth it?
Do you wish you would have had the frame come bare, so you could clean off the weld splatter, then brush on the POR yourself?
Is a 1 Gal can is more than enough?

I'm glad I had it done for me.  They did a very good job.  There isn't much splatter that would've had to be cleaned up. Looks good to me.

Not sure how much it takes.

I POR-15'd my Frame my self and It was pretty easy. Did it in one day and 1 Gallon is more than enough. The only thing that was a pain was I had to take apart the whole front suspension and rear suspension that Hurricane put together for me which took a whole wee-end. And then another week-end to put it all back together after the Frame was painted. So, you can actually save yourself 5 days if you have hurricane paint the frame for you.

Phil nailed it. Since Hurricane is delivering their cars with the suspension aleardy assembled, applying POR15 after the fact creates lots of rework. I opted to have them do it for me to prevent me from having to undo the suspension assembly and then reassemble. Otherwise, I probably would have done it myself.

I painted mine - I purchased before the current offering of the suspension install so I didn't have that to deal with.  Looking back, I would have paid to have it arrive painted if had to do over.  POR-15 is a mess.
