Going with Mike Forte's, 351W and a TKO600, would like mike to mate the trans and engine together, is it a problem to drop it in the car as whole unit?

Not at all.
I think it could be done even with the body on though it would be harder to do.

Great, this way the clutch and pressure plate will all be aligned, also going with a steel scattershield.

The FE/TKO600 combo went in, but the boom on the hoist was a bit short as it dropped into place.

Rainman, if Forte won't mate the components, ask him to at least drill out the TKO mounting holes to match the scattershield.  That'll certainly save you some work!

Doug,

If you follow the build manuals sequence, the engine and trans. are installed before the body or the cockpit tub. It just drops onto and open frame. Did it myself in about 10 mins. using a hoist. You can actually drive the car (go-cart stage) and check out all the mechanicals prior to installing the body. The body adds nothing structural to the car. It is merely a covering for the good stuff. Hope this helps.

Doug,

I paid Hurricane for the Stage 2 assembly, so when I got it it was mostly all put together already.
