As far as the fuel pump is concerned, I'm not gonna be much help there as far as performance and/or noise level. The Fuel system I'm using is from Summit. Fuel pump, Filter, Regulator, Hose connectors and Clamps all came in a kit.

That's pretty cool....  I wish I would have gone that route.  Would have saved me time in guessing/planning exactly what I needed.

I see you have the BFH at the ready in that pic!  I've had mine out, but everything has fit well enough that I haven't had to use it.  Good progress!

Looks Great Phil!!!...  It's a great picture to help out everyone else too with regards to the pinion angle actually.  Nice side profile shot. I would believe this angle is too steep right now?  Am I correct?  Anyone have thoughts on this?

Not to bash or question the install at all Phil, there are just folks like me that can really benefit from a picture of the correct pinion angle. If this is it, then I need to adjust mine some I believe.    ;)

BTW My wife said the driveshaft I got was so small it was "cute"......   That encouraged me to fire the car up to prove that there was nothing "cute" about the car.  LOL  :-)

Ryan, and Phil,  I thought the same thing about the pinion angle, but thought maybe the suspension was un-sprung.

Ryan,  While I was gassing up, a Ford Excursion pulled up, and the late 40's male driver got out and said, "well that's a cute car".  I was surprised at myself for what I was thinking!  When his father, came around to look at it you could see the twinkle in his eyes, the ear to ear grin, and the nod of approval.  As he gazed into the engine bay, and without a single word from him, I knew what he was thinking, and forgot about the "cute car"!

I'm glad the Angle was brought up. I also thought it was steep.
Now,
The Rear end is sitting on jack stands. So, It is compressed
The Transmission is in the x-brace and bloted down.

The drive shaft spins fine. Plenty on clearance. Nothing binds up..Everything works together real well, and went together real well....
If the angle is wrong, What do I do to correct it? I dont see anywhere I can adjust...

Thanks for bring this up Ryan..

Hi Phil,
The upper link on your rear axle can be adjusted to rotate the front (pinion) of the rear end up or down to set the pinion angle. Make the link shorter to move the pinion down and longer to move it up. I think we discussed setting the pinion angle earlier in this thread. There are also several good explanations for setting the pinion angle on the internet. Just do a search for "pinion angle" and you'll come up with several ways to measure and set it. If you need any help, just hollar.

Thank you,

I'll post another pic when I find out the right angle. So, my first pic is an example of what it shouldnt be. I'm glad I posted that Pic. I was gonna post another that didnt show the angle.

Thanks again...and thats everyone.

Hey Phil,
Just a thought here, but I was looking at your pics and it appears that the back of your transmission sits rather high. I don't have any pics of mine because I installed the engine after the body tub was in place. It looks like your using the t-5 transmission, so I don't know how it compares to the TKO600 etc. but looking at Alfredo's and Tom's build pics and from what I have seen on mine, it looks like our transmissions sit lower on the chassis than yours, making our drive shafts have a flatter angle. I don't know if this is the way t-5's are, the mount your using, or what, but it might be worth looking into before you make any big changes. It might be just the way it appears in the pics, so maybe its a non issue, but I thought I'd mention it.

My thoughts exactly. I also thought my trans was sitting High..
Yes, It is a T-5. and its a stock mount.

Hi Phil,
The mount your using does look pretty tall compared to what I have. Mine is about 1/2 the height of yours, kind of like just the upper part thats bolts to the trans on the one you have. As far as I know the T-5 uses the same mount as the TKO600. You might want to confirm this with Mike Arps. If so, the mount to use is a stock replacement for a 1990 Mustang with a manual trans. The Pioneer part number from Adavance Auto is 622530 and sells for around $12.00 or so. Of course you could also use one of the aftermarket urethane mounts also. Just use the part number for a 1990 Mustang. I think this mount will get your trans lower and put the driveshaft in a flatter plane. Good Luck.

Mike

Thats the exact mount I have. The T5 came from a '90 mustang and the mount in the pic is the one that was on the trans.
