Mechanical linkage is high on my list of post-completion projects! With that in mind, I purposely installed my cable so that other than the hole the cable exits thru the front of the footbox, there are no other holes or mounting holes for it.

Today was/is a huge milestone. Hit the ignition switch for the first time and she sprang to life.

I built the motor from the ground up so the sphincter muscle was puckered pretty tight. Big Block FE - 431" - TriPower - Hydraulic Roller Cam/Roller Rockers - all the goodies.

I can't wait to get the spinners tight and take it out go-karting. Some little minor annoyances (cheap chinese import ignition switch failed, minor coolant leak) hopefully I won't find any major annoyances. Was really worried about 45 year old carburetors working but they did what they are supposed to.

Matt,
May I borrow your "hall pass" to take my car out? The police leaving city hall go right past my house. I'm gonna need a "get out of jail Free card"

Paul, congrats, now you need to borrow a flatbed farm truck and find some "B" roads.

Don't need no stinkin' Hall Pass!!  I think I'm gonna have to change my oil and replace rear tires before I go to paint!  ;D  Which, by the way, my car is scheduled to be admitted into the Batcave (Jeff Miller's) next week!!

She's been to the Go-Kart stage for a few weeks now, I just had to take her out for a short ride.

Looks great Paul!  Can't wait for mine to get that far.  unfortunately I ran into an issue with the rear end.  Now i have to fix that before moving on and it will take a bit.  But, hey this is part of the build process I guess.

Nice job!
