Aaron,

Two ways to insert an image. Either by clicking on the insert image button above and adding a URL location for it or by clicking on attachments below and choosing a file from your computer to upload. To add more by attachment, click on more attachments. Once you post, the images will then be uploaded to your post.

Got it.  Thanks!  I figured out the trouble I'm having is that the Apple IOS system takes photos in HEIC format and the website will take all formats but that.  Sent an email to Alec to have IT update that.

It may be a limitation of the forum software, you could use a file converter to convert the HEIC file to a png type file. There are many online converters that can do that.

I'm pretty sure IOS saves pictures in HEIC and JPG format.. are you trying to up load to the forum directly from your apple device?

I just changed the forum settings to accept jpeg files. Supposedly IOS will convert HEIC files to JPEG on upload. Try it and let us know what happens.

Hey Paul-
Just tried again...no luck.  Its a huge multistep process to convert HEIC and post it to this forum.  A little to burdensome to make it fun to post updates.  Any chance on updating the forum software to accept HEIC?

You can convert them on your Mac easily, see the first part of this video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cL47QKIxs8U
Export them to your desktop in the acceptable format. You can delete them from your desktop after uploading to forum.

Greg,
Got it!  Thank you!  I need to update my build log since I am getting close to first start and go-kart.  Hopefully, I can get that accomplished before the snow flies here in MN.  If not, it will be spring.

Aaron,
According to the InnerWebs, IOS converts HEIC into JPEG automatically for uploads like this. Sorry, the forum will not accept HEIC. It is not a commonly used format for pictures, on any forum or internet site, it is proprietary Apple.

Your Apple device(s) should have a settings change in both Camera and in Photos to automatically enable the JPEG uploads.  Look for HEIC converter settings on Google.

Sorry, we can't help. Apple is in a world all their own
