Re-clocking mechanical fuel pump

Hey guys.  Quick question for you.  The way my fuel pump sits on my 427w the inlet hose would interfere with the frame as it drops down from the pump.  Would you guys by a 150 degree AN adaptor for this or just reclock the fuel pump?  How hard is it to re-clock the fuel pump?  The instructions make it seem like if you don't get it exactly right you will have significant drivability problems.

Your reply did work.  I had issues with it this morning too.

okay ... fourth attempt.

I have the same engine, frame, fuel pump as you and have no clearance problems using an Aeroquip 180-degree AN fitting.

Never thought of that.  I am actually going to get the 3/8 to 6an fitting for the pump and then I found a 180 degree from Earls that is a hose fitting since I'm doing braided stainless.  Thanks for the tip Bobby!

I have the same setup as well.  Used some different fittings than Bobby as shown in picture.  Nice clean setup.

Russ, I like your set up too.  Nice and clean.  I did order a bunch of fittings and I'm hoping to have them together by the end of this week.  I did opt to go with stainless braided hose so I'm going to have to learn how to assemble those...should be fun.
