Leather vs vinyl seats...

I'm debating the leather seat and dash upgrade and looking for feedback on the stock seats that come with the kit. Are the vinyl seat and dash material nice enough? And is the leather upgrade worth the extra $$$$$ Also I heard some mention of a carpet upgrade but don't see any on site mention of this. How is the stock carpet compared to the upgrade if there is one? I'm leaning towards the street version with IRS and trying to nail down the interior options at this point. Thanks for your help.

I ordered vinyl in mine.  I saw one first and was quite pleased with the quality.  In fact, I thought it was leather before I was told otherwise.

As far as carpet, well, I have't done anything with mine yet.  It's all still rolled up waiting for me to get to it so I can't help you out there.

Thank you for the reply Tom. Good to hear the standard seats are very nice. I'll most likely go that direction. They also look like a very well made seat. Back when I had my FFR I chose the leather upgrade and was dissapointed in the quality of the seats. The dash was ok tho. I'll use the extra cash towards some other upgrades possibly. I'm trying to work the knockoffs's into the budget so I'm almost there.

Glenn, i looked at both the leather and vinyl seats at HM and can attest that the vinyl ones are very nice. I too thought they looked alot like the leather. I ended up getting the leather seats more for comfort (breathes better) and durability reasons. I didn't get the leather dash though, again because there was little visual difference.
There is a carpet upgrade, which I also got. I forget what I paid, but ask Mike about it. IMO, the standard carpet looked more like thick felt than carpet. I also ordered the door pocket upgrades. But I was disappointed in the quality and fit, so I sent them back to Mike and he's going to have them re-made. I think he's looking at another vendor.
(BTW, this is an example of the good people you deal with at HM! They stand behind their product and you'll never have a complaint about service.)

Thanks Matt. I'll look into the carpet upgrade also. I'd really like to ge the leather but don't know if I can swing it with the IRS. But it's good to know the vinyl seats are nice.
