Hi everyone, from Miami.  I have been set on the FFR Mark III for a while, making plans, etc. Even ordered the build manual ahead of time. Had never heard of Hurricane until surfing one of the forums tonight. Now all of my plans have been changed. *(&(^&^!!

The second I saw the Hurricane pics I could tell that car was different. It has "the look". And I like the fact that it uses all new parts and not worn out Mustang pieces.

My plan first is to build the motor and transmission, then order the kit. Will probably order around August.

I have one quick question for tonight. My wife refuses to get in the car if it has sidepipes, so I want to go with undercar exhaust(must, must keep the wife happy!). How hard would that be with this car? I have seen some pics of cobras without sidepipes and it really doesn't look that bad.

Thanks

AK

I am up in the Coconut Creek area, and am going through the exact same thing you are.  (The "Set on the FFR and discovered HM...")

If you need a hand building it, drop me an IM.

Hi AK,
Welcome.

Funny you should mention building a street version Cobra instead of the S/C. When I was in the process of planning mine thats what I intended to do. My wife and friends liked the S/C version better and talked me into going that route. I had discussed the street version with Mike Arps a while back and don't think it would be too difficult to do. In fact, I think Mike, Rich and Jason have built ,or are in the process of building, a street version, w/o sidepipes, as we speak. You could probably give Hurricane a call and they could give you the details.

I think as look further into the Hurricane you will find that it is an excellent value for your money. Especially the fact that it comes with all new, top quality parts and nearly everything you would need for the build is included. Even the little odds and ends type stuff like rivets, wire ties, bolts, shrink tubing, wire terminals, etc etc. You will also find that their customer service is second to none. Mike, Rich and Jason are easy to get a hold of, and are always willing to help with anything that may come up. The owners forum is great for sharing information too.

Talk to you later.
Mike

Hey AK
Tell your wife that W/O side pipes, you can't become a member of the "Snake-Bite Club" ;D!
(Membership requires a really cool scar from the burn you get on your calf!

Thanks guys.  Really looking forward to ordering. Trying to decide exactly what engine/trans combo I want.
