What are the widest rims and tires that you can fit on the Hurricane?

Looking for rim size, back spacing, tire size.

Not having a Hurricane (yet) I can't be specific, but I do recall reading on one of the build threads on the public area that there is as much if not more room for tires in the rear as a SPF has.  Check out Alfredo Canalizo's build thread, I think it's in here somewhere:

If I'm not mistaken he uses 17" rims with very wide low profile tires.  Having built SPF's, Alfredo has experience with both and from what I read on his build thread he really likes the Hurricane.  Don't we all!!

There are many posts on "the Dark Side" about tire size and such. But to put it simply i have not found a street tire TOO big
when it comes time to order your tires & Wheels i'll be happy to share my calculations :)

Going with 15" rims, just wondering.

Here is a thread I started asking the same question except using 17" rims.  IMO-There are a lot better, higher performance tires available in 17" as compared to 15", (at least when I looked)

I ended up going with basically the same as Phil with different rims.
Fronts:
9x17 rims (the 9' is the smallest Goodyear recommends for the 275)
275x40x17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

Rear Monsters:
11x17 rims
315x35x17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

Good luck with your decision.  Just make sure what you end up with is what "you" want.

ranman  I went with 11x17 in rear rims with 4" backspacing.  I also have IRS.  Tires 315-35-17  There are photos on my build page HM1017.  Hope this helps!    Darren

I have Trigo pin drives in 15". The exact size escapes me at the moment, (7" front, 9" rear?) but they are the standard 15" Trigo's that a lot of Cobra owners use.
Rear tires are 295, fronts are 255.
