I am doing my research on Cobra kits, Hurricane being at the top.

But I notice looking in the build pictures, there seems to be an in-ordinate amount of body work. I know it will be necessary to sand and smooth the  parting line seams. But some of the pictures look like they almost had to redo the entire body surface???

Can anyone expand on the amount of body work they experienced in their build.

Thanks

I have #1042 pictures posted.  Most of the filler you see on the mold lines in those pictures has been sanded off.  Turns out it needed a lot less than I thought it did.  I've yet to see a fiberglass car that didn't need to be heavily filled and blocked.  I chose the Hurricane, among other things, because I went to their shop and saw a fresh-out-of-the-mold body.  They actually come pretty straight.  I H-A-T-E bodywork but knew I'd be doing my own on this build.  The Hurricane needs a LOT less than most others.  And since I bought mine they've re-done their molds to address a few of the issues that I had to tackle.

I too had a short list.  Bodywork was one of Hurricane's strong points for me.
