New member and looking hard at Hurricane to be the provider of my kit. I am planning a high revving side oiler engine all period correct build except 17" wheels and big brakes. I am currious how the bottom side of the car looks after its together especially the interior tub. How is the finish of the tub? I was thinking about painting to match the body. anyone have a pic of this yet. Also would like to see the IRS with the QA1 shocks attached. I cant see the attach points on the web site. Thanks Royce

Thank you Chris for your post. Great car, and wonderful paint. I love the way hurricane's sit. Your car has a perfect stance!

I was also wondering about the shock in the IRS, so your pics helped out.

Royce,
The tub is finished on the outside in a smooth balck finish. Not sure if it's paint or a gel coat from the mold but it is nice looking on it's own. I and a couple others have added truck bed-liner finish to the outside just for a little added protection. The inside is fiberglass-resin and will be carpeted towards the end of the build. Sorry I'm not further along in my build to show you finished photo's but there are a few photo's in my Club Cobra gallery that show the tub mounted on the frame.

Royce,
The finish on the bottom side of the cockpit is a smooth black gelcoat surface. It can be easily painted (off the car of course) to match body color with minimal finishing work. The inside of the cockpit is the unfinished side and is completely covered by carpeting.
