This is the rear IRS we will be using.  Built by Mike McCluskey, these are the closest to the originals.  Mike based these off an original Cobra Salisbury diff. unit when he started building Shelby's "continuation" 427's in the '80's.  We may start machining the cases for Mike in the near future.

Awesome!!   Will it fit in the 2nd generation 427 Hurricanes?

General Information / McCluskey, Ltd Visit

Took a road trip on Friday to meet with Mike McCluskey. For those of you that don't know, Mike was a personal mechanic for Carroll Shelby and continues to be one of the premier restorers of original cobras. While there, we got a very good surprise with Lynn Park showing up. Lynn is know as "Mr. Cobra" due to his owning double digit original and replica cobras and his vast knowledge of the cobra history. My head was spinning from the 119 years of combined cobra knowledge these 2 were sharing. Carroll once said that Mike knew more about Cobras than he did. One of my goals is to learn more and continue the legacy of the Cobra.

We will be working with Mike on keeping our kits and cars as close to the originals as possible.  We are already working on the original style IRS and a few other parts that we got from Mike including an original style 427 frame to use with the Hi-Tech 427 body and duplicating the original Cobra seats.

These are some pictures taken while at Mike's shop.
