Joe,

you can say that again....certainly glad Chris responded, and glad to see Mr. Worley's drive-by had a positive outcome.

Maybe that HMS

General Information / Wheel offsets
September 12, 2008, 10:57:19 AM
Was just wondering if anyone is running 17 X 8 up front and 17 X10 for the rears.  If so, what offset is need to keep the wheel flush with the outside of the wheel well.   Would like to keep the lines smooth and not have the tires poking out the side.

General Information / Re: Open House?

Chris,

I know what you mean about dodging the storms, being born and raised in Beaumont, and the parents still live there.  So I'm sure they'll be fleeing up here to Fort Sill.

Thanks for the time frame on the open house.  Cant wait to come down there and check everything out.

General Information / Open House?
September 10, 2008, 02:04:27 PM
Has anyone heard anything about a possible open house?  I'm sure I'm not the only one who would set aside a weekend and make the  trip.  Just need to make it a sunny day so I can cruize down on the bike.

Just wondering if anyone has been in contact with chris white lately....I sent him an email with a few questions about a week ago and have heard nothing back,  I'm sure he has a full plate.

Joe,

Right now I'm stationed at Fort Sill.  But would make the 3hr drive to go to an open house.  I'm in a similar situation as you....if I had to buy the kit the way it stands now, it would be a few years off, but if they did decide to do a stage build option, I could push that up considerably.  Is Chris's number the one on the contact page?  Last time I called it I got Mr. Nordstrom's voicemail.

If anyone learns of an open house please pass the word.  I'll be in Dallas in mid September and would like to stop by the shop.

Joe,

You read my mind exactly....not to bring up another company on this forum...but HMS's new local competition has a stage build program, and if Hurricane emplemented something similar, that would a great thing to push me over the edge as to which kit to buy.

General Information / Changes to how HMS operates?

Hola everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone new of any changes that hurricane would be making to the way they operate.  Such  as, different kit options or payment options.  I know this is a great kit for an unreal price, but 16k is still quite a bit of money for some to hand over all at once.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

To those of you who can get into the owners form....could you let those of us who can't know whats going on, I'm sure there are some interested people, such as myself, that would love to hear what the plans for the company are before we go with the Hurricane kit.

Thanks

Does anyone know if you can shoehorn a 4.6/5.4 modular engine into the hurricane.  I read that JDM motorsports is making an aluminum 5.4L, like the one in the GT but for wet sump...thought this would be kinda coolish retro style....like an "old meets new" kinda thing.  Also, MMR has some smokin' engines.

Lu,

whenever i sit back and thing about that "they're all fake comment".....it makes me want to throw the all aluminum Z06 engine in the so called "ford"  :P and see what it can do.

Dan,

just wondering how your genisis 482 is treating you....i read here and there that the genisis block had some problems in the beginning...any truth to that as far as  you have noticed?

also, i know the block weighs 30 lbs. more than the original SO...how does the car handle with it>

Ok....so I was bored at work today and got to thinking (dangerous I know  :-/)

So what would you rather have for a really kick a$$ street cobra...

1) A KCR 408 or 427w with fuel injection and supercharger

or

2) The Pond 482 that Keith puts together

hmmmmmmmmm...?????
