Hey guys, thanks for the feed back.
Eric, sweet ride by the way!!  From the build pics, looks like the shifter is installed in the farther-back of the 2 options in the rear position.  Did you try the position that's just in front of it (looks about 3")?
thanks again,
Mark

Hey guys, is anyone running the midshift option?  Just wondering if anyone can post some pics of how the shifter looks/fits in the cockpit - i'm curious if a straight shifter can be used if in the mid position.

thanks!

Thanks for the input guys,, that's what I was hoping.  Those frames look pretty stout.

Hey guys, I ran into a guy (not literally) driving a Backdraft Cobra the other day.  His windshield was cracked in half down the middle.   He mentioned it happened while doing some spirited driving in the twisties, car flexed too much.
Anyone had this happen in a Hurricane?  The Hurricane looks like it has a stronger frame, hope this isn't a generic issue.
thanks again,
Mark

Thanks guys, probably the angle of the photos or something, looks much better straight on.

Jim, I'm thinking of same setup you have - 351W (not stroked), tko600RR, 3.2'ish rear.  How's that workin' out?  Cruise OK on the hiway?  Would you change it if done again?
thanks again,
Mark

General Information / headlight mount location oval?
October 09, 2007, 08:23:53 PM
Hi guys,  from many of the photos it kinda looks like where the headlights mount to the nose is oval and not round (taller than wide).  Is it just the pics, or is that the case on some cars?  If so, has anyone fixed it and how much work was it?  Looks like the body seam runs right across the headlights and that is what may cause what I think I'm seeing.
Thanks for the inputs,
Mark

General Information / owners in Dallas/FW or Austin??
September 11, 2007, 06:56:42 PM
Hi guys, new member here...
After drooling for a cobra replica for 20+ years, I'm finally getting serious about starting a build.  After checking out what FFR has with the new non-donor kit and upcoming Dick Smith body, I'm still favoring the Hurricane.
I live near Austin and am wondering if there's anyone around that might let me check out their car, either finished or not.
Also, I'll be visiting the Dallas area (about half way between Dallas and Fort Worth) from 9/24 thru 9/28 (going to the House of Kolor paint training - tooling up for the build) and I'll have some free time in the pm to check out cars if available as well during that time.
Thanks!!
Mark
