Important Information / Re: News, and better news regarding Hurricane
« on: December 01, 2024, 06:41:41 PM »
Many years ago, a guy from Texas loved my Lone Star Cobra I built on 2000 and I live near Lincoln Ne. He wanted me to go to Hurricane Cobras for a tour so I contacted the owner and set up a date. I'm so glad I did, what a wonderful company and Cobra ! I'm disappointed they moved as their now too far for me to drive !  :-[ :'(

I hope they continue the attention to detail on their Cobra. What a great car and if I were younger, I'd be asking for a job.  ;D

Hello, I realize I haven't posted or replied for a while and have a problem. I'm logged in but I don't see reply or start a new thread. My messages is the only way I've been able to respond to anyone. What could be the issue ?

This is the only forum that lets me post.

Thank you,
Kevin

It is hydraulic. with Low-pressure HVLP Direct-Drive cylinders so there are no chains or screw type mechanisms like on other lift designs.
The hydraulic cylinders have velocity-fuse safety valves.
Rugged safety lock bars are capable of holding three-times the rated lifting capacity.
Arm restraints automatically engage each time the lift is raised, just like my mechanic friend that has 4 of this type of lift's in his shop. This unit is really no different than the industrial lift's, just smaller so they can work in our home garages.

Made in the USA.

Finally,.........I found & bought a two post, four arm, 6,000lb lift for my home garage. I love it. It's made just for us home garage guys that don't have high ceilings. All that's needed is 8' ceiling and the typical 4" depth reinforced (rebar, square wire mesh) concrete floor. I Can't wait to install it and my life just got easier, no more laying on my back ! woo-hoo !

General Questions / Re: I.R.S ?
« on: January 08, 2007, 10:23:50 PM »
Hello Larry,
I agree, I love to build also. We race sprint cars & I think I like the tinkering & maintenance as much as racing.
What are the main differences between your FFR & the Hurricane that you like it better, besides the body ?
I'm surprised by the cost, for the quality. Good deal.
Anything you would change or do differently with the kit ect...?
Do you have the IRS ?
What is the reason they don't use the 4" round tubes in the frame, like the originals ?

Thanks,
Kevin
