General Information / Just My Observations
May 04, 2008, 08:23:05 AM
Hey Everyone!    ;D

I just got back from the "Route 66 Fun Run" in good old Arizona.  There looked to be about 500 to 700 plus vehicles of all sorts and descriptions that cruised the section of old Route 66 from Seligman, AZ  through to Oatman, AZ , about 200 miles in total.
I ran with a bunch of the AZ Cobra folks from the Phoenix area and had a great time.  I had the opportunity to get a good look at several of the different cobra replicas as many were represented. Most were FFR's, although there were a few others brands ....all of which were great looking examples.    :)

My obersvation is this, the Hurricane (my little old opinion) was the best representation of an authentic Cobra,  best body shape (same as Superformance), best engine compartment, and best interior.
I know I have a Hurricane so you know how I think, but it is true...just compare and draw your own conclusions...Hip-Hip- Horray!    ;)

Anyway, we had a great time and I just wanted to "toot my horn a little"

Best Regards,  Bill

General Information / HOW COOL IS THIS!
October 28, 2007, 07:08:12 AM
Hi Guys.. as usual for me I just have to comment.   I attended a small replica car show in Laughlin NV yesterday with the Arizona Cobra Club.  There was about 25 cars there, a Datona, GT-40, Superperformance  and mostly FFR's and yes me (one Hurricane).  The show was called the "Cars on the Colorado" and
sponsored by the AHA and was well organized and much fun.   :)

Numerous folks loved the Hurricane and the comments went as follows, This is really the best Superperformance I've seen",  "The car looks so original",  "Everything about this car reflects quality and thoughtfulness", and so on".
Then were the folks that  wanted to know how they can get a Hurricane, and all the details about the kits, ....   luckily Mike Arps gave me a stack of flyers from Hurricane to hand out to those interested folks.

Anyway, I'm sure all of you Hurricane owners are experiencing the same kind of comments and interest at your respective shows and meetings.  I was so proud of my car I just had to say something on the forum.

Anyway ,  Best Regards,  Bill    ;D   What's your experience?

Hi You all, just couldn't contain my excitement any longer.  I finally ordered my Hurricane HM1072 form Mike yesterday.   It's planned for a 428 FE from Southern Automotive with a Tremic TKO 600.  I'm not sure what color it will be, I keep changing my mind, but Merlo Maroon looks pretty good right now.
Anyway, I 've been learning and investigating every kind of Cobra replica made for the past two years, and feel that Hurricane is better than the majority of the competition with regards to correctness, quality, style and service from the factory.  Oh ya, the price is very fare considering what you get.
I want to thank all of you cobra Guys and Gals owners and builders that have provided me with lots of information that helped me make my decision to go with Hurricane.

Anyway, the fun begins in a couple of months... HavasuBill ;D

General Information / pors 15
August 27, 2006, 05:06:29 PM
Hi Hurricane Club Memebers,
I've been asking questions regarding PORs 15 in the color Silver. Somebody in the Cobra Club mentioned to me that he had heard that the silver color turns sort of a greenish tint after a while.  Is this true?
I'm considering getting my frame painted with PORs15 in silver, but I don't want it to be greenish...

Also does Hurricane have passenger side roll bar set up and what is the cost? ;D

Info. appreciated....Havasubill

I'm ordering mine in mid Oct...this Christmas will be fine.
