Important Information / SEMA Experience
February 17, 2026, 03:35:30 PM
If anyone is ready for another car (we now offer 289 Roadsters (Slabsides), 289 FIA's and 356 Speedsters) we are offering a special opportunity on turnkey cars.  Let me know if you are interested or know of anyone looking.....you could end up being their guest.

We are looking for three customers who want to experience the full SEMA journey - from ordering a vehicle built to your exact specifications to following the entire build process all the way to the show where your car will be on display in the Hurricane Motorsports booth.

You and a guest will receive exclusive access to one of the largest and prestigious automotive events in the world, reserved strictly for industry professionals.

If interested, please send me an email to sales@hurricane-motorsports.com

Thank you,
Shane

General Information / McCluskey, Ltd Visit
January 20, 2026, 02:21:21 PM
Took a road trip on Friday to meet with Mike McCluskey. For those of you that don't know, Mike was a personal mechanic for Carroll Shelby and continues to be one of the premier restorers of original cobras. While there, we got a very good surprise with Lynn Park showing up. Lynn is know as "Mr. Cobra" due to his owning double digit original and replica cobras and his vast knowledge of the cobra history. My head was spinning from the 119 years of combined cobra knowledge these 2 were sharing. Carroll once said that Mike knew more about Cobras than he did. One of my goals is to learn more and continue the legacy of the Cobra.

We will be working with Mike on keeping our kits and cars as close to the originals as possible.  We are already working on the original style IRS and a few other parts that we got from Mike including an original style 427 frame to use with the Hi-Tech 427 body and duplicating the original Cobra seats.

These are some pictures taken while at Mike's shop.

This is the partial car we acquired with the Hi-Tech deal.  Its a 289 Roadster (Slabside).  I will try and keep this thread updated as much as I update our social media.  Stay tuned.

Hello Everyone,

I saw an old post that stated the previous owners had discontinued selling kits.  Going forward, Hurricane Motorsports will be offering complete kits, rollers (turnkey cars) and complete cars.  Kits will start at $33,500 and rollers and complete cars will be quoted per customers specifications.  We are a complete shop that can fabricate, assemble and paint so our capabilities are pretty unlimited.  Please pass the word that we are currently taking orders and adding to our line.  Our first Porsche Speedster Replica is about 60% complete and we are working on obtaining the molds and chassis for the original slabside replicas.

For the most up-to-date info, please follow us on Instagram and check the website for updates.

Thank you,
Shane Williams
