Title: Body work!
Post by: tk._in_wa. on December 22, 2007, 07:20:31 PM
Was curious about the number of hours needed to prep the body for painting? are the mold seems pretty rough? how about the cut out holes? are they pretty clean or do they require alot of clean up ? I have some body work experiance from restoring a couple Z cars. Im looking forward to doing most of the body work my self. any feedback would be great! Also, was curious about the cost of some of your paint jobs? Obviously ther are a lot of variances involvedi i.e. striping, brands of paint used etc. Just some ball park figures I can use for budgetting. any thoughts or advice? thanks tk. in wa.

I'm ready to shoot paint after 80 hours of prep. time. That includes a few mods. to the body, and a guide coated block sanding of the FeatherFill. If you are comparing to a FFR, I've seen people with 200-400 hours to get to the same point.
