Title: new guy from az
Post by: desert rat on October 03, 2007, 02:46:36 AM
was looking at ffr until today. i just started checking out the hms kits. they look pretty sweet. i have a few questions. do the engines sit farther back in the car like the ffr,  or are they the same as the original? i am going to do an fe car probably the southern automotive 428. i like the turkey pan look, and was wondering if it would be functional with the rivet on hood scoop, or just for looks. i am going for originality as much as i can within reason. i am on a budget but can be a real stickler about looks and quality. any help will be appreciated.    jason

Jason, I'm located in Lake Havasu City..just 200 miles west of you. My car is #1072, dual roll bars, 428FE from Southern Automotive and TKO 600.

The engine fits perfectly and is in the center of the engine compartment with plenty of room to work on everything.  The car appears very original and doesn't look like it came from some exotic custom creation or variation like so many other cobra designs.  I went for the "original look", Hurricane exceeded all my expectations.  I feel the Hurricane is great value, very complete and has all high quality parts.

Best Regards, Bill    ;)
