tub attaches using rivits at the back 3/8" bolts with washers on the floor and rivets or self tapping screws around the foot boxes some guys also glass the tub in

I'm using the vintage wheels with real pin drives brm style (kinda like a torque thruster)

I'm not up to paint but have friends in the bussiness so if I do the prep and gaping I'm told around 3 k with color ,clear  and I will block it
as for the amount of hours I can say consitrable les then a ffr body the mold seams are on the flats of the body

Hey Johnny!   Sounds to me that your on the right track with regards to selecting one of the best replica kits around...Hurricane.    ;)

After two years of research and comparing,.... FFR and Hurricane were my two best choices.  The FFR has a great frame, big company behind them and a lot of racing experience, but that is where the their attributes end as far as I'm concerned.

Hurricane has the best body shape (original shape) and better body construction.  The kit is complete, including the  Ford 9" rearend, brakes and all suspension parts. Also dropped steel footboxes and a strong glass cockpit and truck liner.   Both cars are good, the Hurricane may reduce your amount of build time if you build it exactly as it comes but you can do as much custom stuff as you want.
Also, the guys at Hurricane are great as well as the Forum will help you do the best job possible.

Anyway, I guess you realize that I love my Hurricane Cobra and I'm very satisfied with my choice.   ;D

Best of luck in your search,  Bill

You can get 15 inch or 17 inch wheels in various sizes and back spacing.   When you get to the dark side (the private forum)  You will get tons of info on this.

Paint depends on how much you do yourself.  If you have someone do all the body work and paint look at around 6.5 to 8k  That would be about the same with ffr or hms.  Although the ffr body requires a ton more work.

You can get by with much cheaper paint jobs, but you get what you pay for.
