Post by: syrupmaker on July 19, 2007, 07:23:07 AM
Hello everyone, Im a newbie here and was hoping to get a look at a Hurricane up close.I live in the south Ga. area and shopping the different kits out there.I didnt really know anything about Hurricanes until yesterday when I read a thread on the ffrcobra forum.there were a few bashers but most were supportive and gave Hurricanes good reviews.I would like to take a look if anyone is close by.

Syrupmaker,

Ryan Cassidy lives in Ga. and his web site has an HM Registry that shows three Hurricanes in GA. Here is the URL to his site. Check out his site when you get the chance.

I think that when you compare the Factory Five to Hurricane you will find that the Hurricane package is an excellent value for the price,  is easier to build, has a higher quality, more accurate body and that Mike and Rich at Hurricane are very courteous and professional.

thanks for the info guys,Im still in the shopping stage and just found out about you guys and am very interested in the product.Ive been looking over the home page, theres alot of info but there are still a few things I have questions about so I figured the best way to find out is to ask someone who knows firsthand.Im in southwest Ga. just north of Tallahassee.Looking forward to learning more about the cars and meeting some new friends.I dont forsee any problems with the build part as Im a mechanic by trade and run a family owned garage.I may tend to ask alot of questions so if I ask too much just tell me to shut up  :)                           scott

Hey Scott,
Like Dan said, I live in Jacksonville. Your more than welcome to come see my car. I'll even meet you half way on I-10 for lunch one day if you want. My Build # is 1044. I love driving it. I'm on vacation starting tomorrow for 2 weeks. The first week I'm staying home and spending time with the kids (fishing, skiing, motorcross..ect), The 2nd week, I will be on a cruise to the Bahamas. 8-).

Thanks for the replys fellows,I would really be interested in getting a look at your cars and maybe the seat of the pants feel for the cars :) .Ive seen several other models up close(Superformance, whick I wasnt really impressed with, and a FFR)but have never actually taken a ride :'(.Ive been looking at these things and dreaming of owning one for years now and its just beginning to get to the point where I could see the dream realized in the not to distant future.Only problem is Im afraid if I get in one Ill be bitten and wont be able to wait ;D Ill try to get back with you when I can work it out and give you some advance notice so we can schedule it.thanks for the replies Scott

Scott,
I hate to be the barrer of bad news but, If your afraid of being bitten once you've diven in one...Then I'm afraid you'r about to have a LARGE CHUNK taken out of you.
I love driving my car. The Ride, the smell, the feel, the Power....EVERYTHING. I especially LOVE when I'm sitting at a red light and I see someone roll down their window and take a picture of my car with their camera phone and tell me "Nice Car". I almost want to Cry. :'(
You and I need to meet up sometime.....I will not only take you for a drive but, I will let you drive it yourself. 8-)

I'm a mustang freak also. Ive had a 66', a 91', and presently have a 95'. My next build is going to be a 69'. My Wife say's I have to buy her a new house first though..... :)....I had to buy her a Motorcycle in order to build the Cobra....All's fair in Love and War ::)

Hey Phil,I looked at both yours and Micheals build sites. Both are some sweet looking rides.I want to do everything myself ,motor ,trans, body work and paint :P.Ive worked on alot of classic Mustangs over the years for myself and for customers so not much bothers me about the build other than the money ;)I really look forward to the boby work believe it or not,I like painting.I not a pro by any means but have painted several cars and am pretty good if I do say so myself. You did pick a tough one first time out but it looks great from what I saw from your pics.Look forward to seeing it up close.Ill get back with you when I can free up some time to meet you. Thanks to everyboby    Scott
