Regarding many of the questions that individuals ask about the configuration of their cars
I have the button for my car ,thought that would be cool....
I have a Lucas keyed ignition switch (off/on only) and a Lucas push button starter on mine.
Larry
thankyous gentlemen, did not know both could be used.
maybe a pull start.lol.
thinking hideway kill switch also
what about fuel shut off ?
some like it hot!
Does the kit come with a switch/button combination or is this a customized arrangement?
Thanks!
Doug
The kit comes with an off/on/start ignition switch. I don't remember if it had an ACC position or not, I gave mine away. The push button starter is an owner-added idea.
Larry
I converted my horn button that installs on the dash to my starter button. But, after I realized our steering wheel boss is not configured for a horn button in the center of the steering wheel I changed it back. I didn't want to put another hole in the dash at that time for a starter button and my horn button. Just food for thought when making that decision.
Oh yea, the starter switch does have a acc post.

Guys,
A newbie here, following the threads as I prepare to build my own car.
I know keys switches are a avaliable with acc./on positions (no start indent) for motorcycle applications but not sure if you can get a conventional key I have them but they are round keys you can check jireh cycles or jp cycles
The coolest ignition switch IMO was one I saw on an old Ferrari. You truned the key to "ON", then pushed it in to engage the starter. TOO COOL!

Yeah, I am going with a push to start like the S2000 for my build.
Looked at the motocycle ignition switches (as suggested above) and a lot of them have keys like those used on soda machines (the little round tube like keys). One or two looked like normal keys though.
They state that the ingnition switches are of a 3 position type. (Off/On/On w/headlights). Perhaps this would work for this application.
Just a thought.

Thought I had a link to a source that had a kit complete key ignition and push-to-start button. Cannot find the link right now...sorry.
Although, I did find a link to a fella that installed a push-to-start system for his project and he has what looks like good details and sources for parts.

Might help. Hope so anyway.
