Unfortunately, the rear bar needs an oval bezel and I haven't found anyone that makes them for 1 1/2" roll bars. They would be simple to make out of 1/8" aluminum. That's probably what I'll end up doing.

Eric,

I had Russ from Russ's Garage make my gromet..bezels.  He custom builds each set $55.00 per set of three (3) with the oval shape for the rear support bar.  He now builds them for  the 1.5" size on your Hurricane.

Call him at  1 (510) 234-7376 or at 1066 McLaughlin St. Richmond CA.  84805

He builds a lot of thigs for Factory five Cobras and does very good work.

Check him out!   Bill  ;D

I noticed on SPF's, the rollbar brace is about the same position as on the Hurricane. (models before the brace angle was changed) I'm going to change my rollbar brace to the more accurate position but for the older Hurricanes, a grommet from SPF might fit. It would be black rubber and you might have to get an SPF owner to buy it as I don't know if they sell parts to everyone.

Hi Eric,
I emailed  Mike re. groumets for 1081 a couple of weeks ago and he said they now supply a rubber groumet with the roll bars.  Confirm with him re. your car.
If you want to stir up the snake's nest here and else where, put a warmed over twin turbo Toyota Supra motor in your car, you can smoke 'em plenty good with that. We tried to put one in my old beater replica but it was too wide. Should fit just nice in yours.   People forget the 2 liter in line 6 heritage of our cars.
Gotta have fun....
