Title: Is this kit completely complete?
Post by: J_O on January 08, 2007, 09:58:27 PM
Hey Everyone,
I'm looking very seriously at getting one of these kits and was just wondering, are these kits as complete as they say? I know I will need the engine, transmission, driveshaft, wheels and tires, and paint, but is there anything else? Also, was everything well made and did it all go together like it should?
Thanks,
Jake

Hey Jake,
Yea, the kit is really very complete. That being said, there are some very small things you will need to get. For example, light bulbs, headlights, tubing for the water temp and oil temp/pressure guages, badges/emblems, speedo cable,  . . that's all that comes to mind, but I'm sure I'm missing a few items. But, that's still a very complete kit in my view. Many of us have added or modified a number of things, but that was our choice on our particular builds, not because the kit was incomplete.
The build goes very easy. In fact, one Hurricane owner lamented that it went a little too easy.
My experience has been very good. I'm really enjoying the build and have not come up any problems.

Hi Jake,
Yep, its like Matt said, very complete. Theres really nothing you need to add except the things that have been mentioned. Actually, aside from the major components, the kit comes with a lot of little odds and ends that you wouldn't even think about until you need them. Like all your wire terminals, nut, bolts, rivets, screws, brake lines, fittings, etc. etc. All the components are top quality. It comes with a nicely detailed build manual and everything goes together easily. My experience with the build has been great. I think I should also mention that Hurricanes customer service is second to none. The guys at Hurricane are great and customer focus is a number one priority.
