Title: Engine Mounts
Post by: rwall49 on December 23, 2006, 01:41:52 PM
Gentlemen,
I have a question on Mounting a Ford SB 351w. What motor mount are guys who have 351w using to mount the engine to the frame?  Trying to get prepared for when I order my Hurricane.

Thanks
Ron

Bob,
Do you have a part number cause I saw some at summit racing?

My engine isn't in yet but I'll be using rubber mounts and adding secrews to it to firm it up. ERA has a great article on how to do it.

I did exactly what Larry posted. It gives you all the strength as the poly mounts but not the vibration.

I used plan old double sheer mustang mounts.  Same ones Larry and Jim did.  although I didn't do the bolt mod....  Not sure why now..  but for some reason didn't  :-/

Cheers,
