Title: Hurricane builders and owners
Post by: rwall49 on November 02, 2006, 09:14:49 PM
I have a question about the GM calipers that come with the kit.  Are they easily removable  from the brake system to allow replacement of the pads when they get warn?  Was just reading some info about disc brakes and thought I'd ask.

Hi,
The calipers are held on with two bolts are very easily removed for pad replacement.

After Changing a whole bunch of brake shoes from drum brake systems, changing pads on disc brakes is a cake walk. It takes me longer to jack up the car and take the tire off then it takes to change the pads out.

It really is pretty easy after you have done it once or twice. Since I do not have a hurricane yet I cannot comment specifically on the calipers that they use, but they all are basically the same.
