Hi You all, just couldn't contain my excitement any longer. I finally ordered my Hurricane HM1072 form Mike yesterday. It's planned for a 428 FE from Southern Automotive with a Tremic TKO 600. I'm not sure what color it will be, I keep changing my mind, but Merlo Maroon looks pretty good right now.
Anyway, I 've been learning and investigating every kind of Cobra replica made for the past two years, and feel that Hurricane is better than the majority of the competition with regards to correctness, quality, style and service from the factory. Oh ya, the price is very fare considering what you get.
I want to thank all of you cobra Guys and Gals owners and builders that have provided me with lots of information that helped me make my decision to go with Hurricane.
Anyway, the fun begins in a couple of months... HavasuBill ;D
"HM1072"...HOLY COW... :o
Congrats on the purchase....Get plently of rest "NOW" cuz when the kit hits your front door its all over.

Congrats. #1065 was just delivered to me last week. Time to start ordering stuff in preparation.

Congratulations Bill ;D ;D ;D Welcome to the family. It sounds like your going to have a nice combo with the 428 and TKO trans.
Mike
That's great Bill, welcome to the family!
Don't worry about color, I've changed my mind about 100 times so far, only to return to my original choice each time.
By the way, what state are in?
Larry
Larry and all you other Guys, appreciate your comments. I'll keep in touch with you when I have questions along the way.
I live in Lake Havasu City, AZ...approx. 150 miles south of Vegas and 200 miles west of Pheonix. Havasu is a hugh lake on the Colorado River and a fine town of about 50'000 people.
We have a large population of retired people, which I'm one of, so I will have plenty of time to work on my car. We also have a giant population of "hot rods" and several clubs. We're having our annual "Run To The Sun" car event in a couple of weeks. It's a four day event with a street show, special events and a 2-day car show thats usually attended by approx. 1000 rods and custom cars.
Lake Havasu is best known for boating and wild fun on the holidays...it's a wonderful place to be.
Thanks again, Bill
Bill,
Welcome and Congrats
I want to live there, it sounds that is a great place ...... :)

Way to go Bill! I hope to see you post updates and pictures. After seeing your post I decided to join the forum myself.
I look forward to the day when I can post the same type of message.
Good-Luck with the build.
Congrats Bill. I'm next in line with HM 1066 and am counting the days. I'm in Minnesota and we had snow flurries today. The space is cleared in the garage waiting for the arrival. At that point the garage door goes down, the heater gets switched on, and I get busy. A bit different than what you'll be experiencing in AZ!
HM 1072 means six more cars have gone on order since mid-August!
Looking forward to sharing notes as we work through the build process together.
Good Luck!
Dan
QuoteLarry and all you other Guys, appreciate your comments.
I am impressed at the rate of sales for these cars. I would like to see what differences there are now between mine #1025 - a year old now - and the current version of the car.
Hurricane is doing well!! (which is good for us!) :D
Steve
Good for you Bill! Time to buy all the extra goodies. Picking the color will be the hardest part. Dan hm1041
