I am very strongly considering the hurricane now after almost buying the FFR. From what I gather the Hurricane footbox is roomier than the FFR footboxes. It also has a dropped footboxes so taller folks shouldn't have a problem with leg room. I'm sure Larry will chime in with his observations. He is pretty tall himself and has built both FFR and Hurricane cars, so he has first hand experience with each.

I'm only 6'00" but I had to adjust my seat forward after installation to push my pedals to the floor. And I have PLENTY of room above the knees should my legs ever get four or five inches longer. Sorry though, I can't remember the FFR legroom.

My Hurricane has both more foot/leg room and more butt-room! ;)
I'm 6'2" and the FFR is a little cramped for me in the footroom area. The FFR is also fairly narrow in the seat area because of the center brace. It takes a little away from the seat area. My experience is with a MKII but I think the MKIII is the same way. The angle of the steering wheel in the FFR makes it even more cramped being that it's more perpendicular to the floor. For me, a 14" wheel is a must-have in the FFR.

Thank you for the responses, that helps make my decision a little easier.
I visited with Mike at the Hurricane shop when I was in shopping mode, and we discussed a modification he'd been considering to the the wheel-well that would allow for the driver's seat to move back another couple of inches, providing more leg room. My car (HM1066) will be the first delivered with this modification. If it works out, I assume he'll make it available upon request on future cars as well. The stock set-up would have been acceptable, but I figured having a little more room to play with couldn't hurt. The small block car I sat in had plenty of horizontal foot space. The big block car was a little tighter, but still acceptable. I'm 'only' 6'2", and after sitting in a few FFR cars came to the conclusion that I would'n't feel safe piloting on of their cars in such cramped quarters foot and leg-wise. The Hurricane is a much better fit for me.

I thought I would resurrect this since this was a significant topic in my choice of car. I have been in the replica market for about a year and am coming close to a decision. I have sat in both the Factory Five MKIV and the Hurricane 427SC. Hands down the Hurricane had more room and was more comfortable. I am 5'10" tall and 185 lbs. Not a big guy but I felt really squeezed in the FFR. I felt like I could cruise all day long in the Hurricane. When I got into it I actually had to adjust the seat forward to fit. I had plenty of knee room and could get my left arm inside the car easily. In the FFR the only place I felt my left arm could comfortably go was on top of the drivers door. Personally, I think they are both good cars but comfort is a MAJOR factor in my purchase decision since I am only going to cruise my car.
